Jetstar review by Nick 2015-12-25

Nearly missed our flight because airline staff resisted to let us on board.

We planned to fly from Ho Chi Minh to Bangkok with one day stop in Singapore. The passport holders of my country are allowed to stay in Singapore up to 96 hours without visa if having transit tickets to third country and relevant visa of that country, which all we had.
However, Jetstar staff rejected to register us for a flight to Singapore referring to the internal instruction. The instruction stated (wrongly) that I am allowed to stay in Singapore only 24 hours. The staff at the counter told us just to buy new tickets. They did not do anything to solve the issue. When I insisted that I can flight, they became rude and aggressive.
Finally we got on board after I called to Singapore airport (which confirmed 96 hour rule) and then to Jetstar call centre. All those talks took over one hour. Fortunately we came to the airport early and stepped on board minutes before take off.
