We travelled from London to Auckland via Hong Kong and it was one of the worst flights we have experienced. We travelled from New Zealand to Australia by Air New Zealand and our return flight was from Adelaide.
After our experience of Economy Class we decide to upgrade to Premium Economy. Trying to arrange this proved to be a nightmare and in the end our UK travel agent sorted it for us.
The transfer time in Hong Kong was just over the hour and three times we were assured that there was plenty of time.
When we checked in at Adelaide we were given a free upgrade to Business Class to Hong Kong.
Boarding did not start until after the scheduled departure time and no explanation was given.
When we arrived in Hong Kong we were met by an airline representative who said she would take us to the departure gate for our ongoing flight. A couple of minutes later we were told that our luggage could not be unloaded in time and that arrangements were made for us to go on a flight ten hours later. Hotel rooms were booked for all the passengers involved. We had to find our own way across the airport to a bus. As we had no luggage with us we were unable to change clothes
