Flew from Perth to Hong Kong on 20 June . Flight was delayed due to late arrival of flight because of band weather in Hong Kong . We were given a $15 food voucher each at Perth. Staff were ok and food ok. Hong Kong to New York on 23 June this is a very long flight. Once crew served meal did not see again for a few hours but came if you rang for them. San Francisco to Perth on 23 July all flights arrived on time. Had no problems bing seated together as we are a family of 5. I feel that some people expect business class service for economy class. I have flowen many airlines and have noticed that all airlines are cutting corners to keep there costs down. Cathay no longer give you an amenity pack only blanket and pillow. Little things like salt and pepper now have to be asked for. These are only minor things but the planes were always clean throughout the long flights. Would fly again to the US as they are the only one stop carrier from Perth to New York and San Francisco with the shortest flying time.
