JetBlue has relaunched its packaged vacations to offer customers perks such as early boarding, a free inflight alcoholic beverage and no change fees. The relaunch of JetBlue Vacations also promises travelers a more personalized service when booking packages with the airline’s travel products subsidiary. A new product — The Insider Experience — is currently included in packages to Caribbean destination Aruba and the Dominican Republic’s Punta Cana. It is being expanded to Mexico's Cancun this month as well as to other destinations later this year. The company says it puts customers in “the trusted hands of local experts” to assist them throughout their vacation at no additional charge. It also includes benefits such as complimentary airport transfers. Specially trained "Insiders" greet customers as they exit the baggage claim area, answer any immediate questions and escort them to the complimentary transfer. They are also there to help with any issues that arise during the trip and are available via Whatsapp or phone seven days prior to a trip to help booking tours and other activities. The Insiders come from established and credible destination management companies and have also been trained by JetBlue. With Very Important Perks, the company partners with select top hotels to offer benefits such as restaurant discounts, resort credits, complimentary mini-bar access and guaranteed late checkout. The perks are available at properties on the JetBlue Vacations website displaying the VIP flag and vary from hotel to hotel. “With our lead product – JetBlue Vacations, we’re merging human touches, customization and savings with the travel experience,'' JetBlue Travel Products president Andres Barry said. “Our new additions, including the Very Important Perks program and the Insider Experience, are designed to make trip planning even easier so you can sit back, relax and enjoy what now comes standard with the JetBlue Vacations experience.”
