JetBlue will beef up its service to New England with more flights on top-performing routes to Boston Logan International Airport.

The airline already claims the distinction of carrying more passengers to more nonstop destinations with more flights than any other airline in Boston and says it aims to strengthen leadership position in the market.

The plan begins in spring 2020 when JetBlue will expand service on the key Boston- New York LaGuardia business route by offering up to ten daily roundtrips.

The flights will be operated using the airline’s Embraer E-190 aircraft, which feature comfortable two-by-two seating offering more legroom in economy class as well as 36 channels of free, live DIRECTV programming on personal seatback screens.

Passengers also get free high-speed wireless internet as well as complimentary, unlimited name-brand snacks and soft drinks.

The new Boston-La Guardia service will complement the airline’s services to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport and give JetBlue up to 22 daily flights to New York’s three major metropolitan airports from Logan.

Also to be boosted in summer 2020 to up to three daily roundtrips are flights between Boston and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

An added daily flight will offer travelers a new morning departure from the Texas capital.

Other destinations expected to progressively see increased frequencies from Boston include Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix and Washington, DC.

In all, services will be increased to more than a dozen destinations.
