Vietjet has reached a major milestone by welcoming its 200 millionth passenger, marking a new achievement in its journey of connecting Vietnam with the world.

The 200 millionth passenger, Sandeep Mehta, an Indian businessman, was awarded a complimentary gift of one year of free travel on Vietjet’s international flights.

Coinciding with this celebration, Vietjet announced the launch of a new route connecting India’s western city of Ahmedabad with Vietnam’s renowned coastal city of Da Nang, set to begin operations in October 2024. This announcement was made at the Vietnam - India Business Forum in New Delhi, India, with the presence of Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with leaders and business representatives from both countries.

To commemorate this occasion, Vietjet is offering a week-long promotion from August 2 to August 8, 2024 (GMT+7), with two million tickets available for as low as USD 0 (*) across Vietjet’s entire domestic and international flight network. Tickets can be booked through www.vietjetair.com or the Vietjet Air mobile app, with travel dates from September 4, 2024, to May 22, 2025 (**).

Vietjet invites passengers to enjoy their modern aircraft, served by a professional, friendly, and dedicated cabin crew, offering the essence of Vietnamese, Indian, and global cuisine, including Vietnamese Banh Mi, Pho, and Basmati curry rice, as well as other hot, healthy, and delicious dishes. Additionally, Vietjet provides all passengers with complimentary SkyCare insurance and the opportunity to earn rewards and "win daily" through the Vietjet SkyJoy loyalty program.

Vietjet has been a pioneer in launching direct services between Vietnam and India since 2019, offering convenient and affordable travel options for people and travelers. The airline currently operates seven routes with 56 weekly flights between the two countries, connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Kochi, as well as popular Indian destinations such as Bodh Gaya and Varanasi.
