Hawaiian Airlines has announced an increase in flights between Honolulu (HNL) and Los Angeles (LAX), Las Vegas (LAS), Boston (BOS) and Austin (AUS) from the end of May, 2024. It’s seasonal but the additions are great news for Aussies travelling north to these US Mainland cities, via Hawaii.

Hawaiian will operate the routes with its Airbus A330 aircraft, and will also debut the flagship Boeing 787-9 on select flights between HNL and LAX. The first Dreamliner takes off on April 15, 2024 with daily service between Honolulu (HNL) and San Francisco (SFO) through to May 14, followed by select flights between Honolulu (HNL) and Los Angeles (LAX), and Honolulu (HNL) and Phoenix (PHX) from May 15 (more announcements yet to come).

“An increasing number of our passengers from Australia and New Zealand choose Hawaiian Airlines to reach the US mainland, taking advantage of a stopover in Hawaii en route and easy connections to our extensive US domestic network,”  said Andrew Stanbury, Managing Director – International and North America Sales.

“To meet demand in both directions, we have expanded our US network reach, now to 16 US cities including our latest destination Salt Lake City, which commences in May,” he added.

Mr Stanbury said ex Sydney some of the airline’s most popular routes include via Hawaii to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Seattle.
