Lufthansa is a full-service carrier running two quite different products, and it won World's Best Hybrid Airline in the 2026 Airline Ratings awards. Short-haul across Europe is close to low-cost, with a tight seat pitch, buy-on-board catering and free streaming entertainment through the FlyNet portal. Long-haul on the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 and 747-8 is genuinely full-service. The new Allegris cabin was runner-up for World's Best Business Class, but most aircraft still have the older business seat, so it is worth checking the aircraft type.
