EL AL is Israel's national carrier with a fleet of Boeing 787s, 777s and 737s flying from Tel Aviv to Europe, North America and Asia. A competitive flat-bed business cabin and good catering are available on the widebodies. The onboard experience is efficient rather than warm. Older Boeing 737s on short-haul routes are noticeably more basic, and a Boeing 737 MAX order will eventually address this. Security can add significant time on the ground.
