Air Transat review by Vlad 2017-04-07

I booked a direct flight YYC to Cancun, main reason being I travel with small kids. The flight to Cancun actually originated in Edmonton and due to weather couldn't take off (we found that out in the plane from other passengers). We left about 2.5 hours late. Coming back, we were supposed to be in Calgary around 10.25pm. Transat decided to change the route on the last minute and stopped in Edmonton first for about an hour. We got at the final destination 4 hours later than initially booked. On top of that, one of the seats we had was broken and unsafe for emergency situations. I've paid the more expensive fare for a 5 hours direct flight and got an 8 hour flight with a stop. The staff was acting like that was the normal itinerary. I will never recommend or go myself with Transat again.
