This is a warning about the Iberia service in West Africa. Bring your own! Food, drink, entertainment.. Fact: Seat pitch is 28 inches. I don't know of any more crammed scheduled flights than this, and for a 5 1/2 hr flight. Many had to move seats because of discomfort or sat awkwardly. There is No IFE. Breakfast (the only food service apart from a small packed of dried fruit) was inedible. The drinks, including water ran out. The flight arrived late in Madrid which meant many missed connections. At our final destination (Heathrow) we stood around the Iberia/Madrid arrival carousel until most passengers had left, eventually realising that those left waiting hopelessly, had all started with us in Accra.... One poor lady waiting had a wedding outfit in her bag. For us it was a trip to the supermarket to buy toiletries, and fortunately our important medications were in our hand luggage. Do not make the mistake I made of assuming that Iberia has been tainted with the service qualities of BA, even though they sell each others flights. My sister flew Air Maroc the same day from Accra. By all accounts a much better option - and cheaper too!
