My last flight with Delta was between October 2012 to February 2013. Again I requested assistance to put my carry-on in the overhead bin from one of the female flight attendants, explaining I had a chronic back problem and was in a lot of pain and had a big problem lifting anything above my head. Her reply was that she had a heart condition so wouldn't help me. If this was true, what the heck was she doing as a flight attendant on an airplane. if there had been an emergency she probably would have had a heart attack in the middle of it, I doubt Delta would employ anyone with a physical condition like this. I have found Delta flight attendants to be unhelpful rude and arrogant. I am flying with them again in January 2014-April 2014 so keep my fingers crossed my next experience with Delta will be a more pleasant and helpful one. I have had surgery on my back earlier this year but still have the problem with lifting. Will update after I get back to Australia next time. I belief it is in their job description to assist passengers when necessary.
