Cathay Pacific review by Nathan 2013-06-17

We flew Cathay from Melbourne to London Heathrow return, The first flight sector was good the food was terrible but was on time and the staff were friendly. That was as good as it got. The second sector Hong Kong to London was the longest flight of my life, The in flight entertainment unit failed and i was left with nothing for over 6 hours, the seat was horribly uncomfortable and the food terrible again but the flight attendants were very apologetic and nice. The return leg we had one of the shell seats which made it even more uncomfortable and the entertainment unit failed again. The final leg Hong Kong to Melbourne was ok relatively few issues. I have to say tho I flew the same flight with Cathay in 2005 and I think there standards have slipped a great deal. The one big plus for them is Hong Kong airport is awesome! There no patch on Emirates or Singapore. EDITORS COMMENT: Two legs with failed entertainment! That is very unlucky!
