Business Class

TG 658, 15 April 2016, departing at 23.10, redeye, arriving next morning. The business class ground experience at BKK is excellent, including a superb variety of dishes in the spacious D-Concourse business class lounge, and a lovely complementary 30-minute neck and shoulder Thai massage in TG's Royal Orchid Spa across from the lounge.Unfortunately, the in-flight experience (hard and soft product) was the exact opposite and let me down bigtime. A 777-200 with an uncomfortable 2-3-2 configuration in business class. Seats were old-style recliners (calling them angle-flat would be too kind), not the modern lie-flats used by other airlines on intra-Asian sectors of similar duration. But what really ruined the flight for me was the uncaring and indifferent flight crew. After I complained to a business class flight attendant, as well as to the purser, about my very noisy seat neighbors (a mother with a lap child), neither the F/A nor the purser responded to my repeated requests to be reseated elsewhere in a more quiet part of the cabin, even though the business class cabin was half-empty with several seats available.
