We flew easyjet (an A319)from Edinburgh to Madrid and then (after some driving around) from Seville to London Gatwick. First, I recommend spending the extra few pounds for seat selection. It gives you priority access through security at the airport which is very pleasant, and priority boarding which is very important on flights where every passenger seems to have 20kg of hand-luggage. Being able to stand in the aisle to pack the overhead lockers (before the plebs were allowed on!) and not having to put our stuff five or ten rows behind us (due to the lack of room) made the small price very much worth it. Overall the flight was fine. It was kind of obvious we were on a budget airline with the flight attendants being so overworked. There was very little time to assist the passengers given the workload just attending to dealing with baggage issues and speaking to ground staff. It would have been nice not to have had them speaking so loudly about the discrepancy between their list of passengers on board and that of the airport!
