We had a terrible experience upon check in. We booked a flight from Hanoi to Phuket via Sinagpore via an online travel agent and two airlines. The ground staff did not want to check our luggage all the way through since we booked a "Cheap Airline (Jetstar) to continue from Singapore. We were asked to pick up our luggage in Sin and check them back in. My husband would need a visa for Sing, so we were told that I should do it and our toddler should stay with my husband. I can't go into all the details but the ground staff in Hanoi was extremely rude and not assisting us at all. Lucy in Singapore the Airport Staff was able to assist us without me going through immigration, And guess what, the so called cheap airline had no problem on the way back checking our luggage all the way through! Also, be aware, you are not getting your stroller back at the gate, even after talking to three different ground staff, it was sent to the conveyer belt which is very inconvenient when you have a 3h layover. Cleanliness is another matter. We had a seat cover full of bloodstain on our flight back from Singapore to Hanoi but nobody seemed interested. Lucky us the flight was not fully booked!
