A333 Melbourne to Honolulu return (MEL-HNL-MEL). Checkin is a nightmare - as JQ dont have a online system where you can pre-record your accommodation details for first night in USA (required by US immigration) so all the checkin staff have to do this - taking about 12 minutes per pax to check in - which doesnt sound like a long time, but with over 200 pax the que moves very slow. But you get there in the end. From a flight experience, it was a good flight. Choosing exit row seating was a good idea, watching pax line up for the toilet all the time - the only down side. Crew were friendly, chatty and fast at what they need to get done. Food whilst not the best marketing experience - its just the food package dropped onto your tray table. It was quiet nice. Free soft drink included with pre-paid food (take the bottle of water, and pay for soft drink-you can top up the water later). IFE and comfort kits prepaid - nothing special, the iPad weighs a ton as it has extra battery attached. But some OK choices of movies and TV shows to watch. The FA staff were constantly up and about cleaning, collecting and checking on pax. I was impressed - No its not QF full service - but its a decent choice for a 10 hr flight.
