Cheap tickets to Madrid and back, so expectations should not be too high maybe. Iberia failed to meet even my rather low expectations. We payed for picking seats in advance and for checked in baggage. Thats when Iberias incompetence started to show. The website is rubbish and reserving seats and baggage must be done separately (baggage reservation is well hidden though. Maybe they want you to buy it when boarding as this is double the Price). I did not get an emailed receipt for the baggage payment, so a few days later I checked my booking again. By then seats and baggage reservations were removed by Iberia. Customer service could not explain why (they were generally nice enough but rather clueless). After 3 calls seats and baggage were ok again (not quite as intended though). I checked my booking for the return flight 2 days before check-in and it looked ok. When arriving at Madrid airport the prepaid seats were no longer available and no explanations were given for tossing us around in various parts of the cabin. Iberia is the worst Airline I have experienced. Apart from Ryanair that is in a League of their own as they take great pride in harrassing everyone and just being crap.
