Royal Air Maroc are EXTORTIONIST On Feb 12th, I was booked to travel to Marrakech under Samuel Springer. I was awaiting an appointment with USCIS for my US Citizenship of Naturalization. The date was unknown, so the flight was booked at the going affordable price. After acquiring my US Citizenship of Naturalization, my name was changed to Samuel Fitzgerald, which was reflected in my new US passport. Expedia was unable to change my last name on the ticket without approval from Royal Air Maroc (RAM). RAM communicated that providing satisfactory proof of my name change on the day of the flight would have allowed me to board the plane. However, at JFK airport, RAM reviewed my identification documents confirming my legal name change but still insisted that Expedia updated my ticket to match my passport. However, RAM refused to cooperate after Expedia continuously requested the authorization necessary to refresh the ticket. I was then forced to cancel the ticket with no refund, and purchase a new ticket for USD $1,204.11. AVOID AT ALL COST IF TRAVELING FROM JFK UNTIL THEY CAN CLEAN UP THEIR REEKING BUSINESS PRACTICES.
