Sandwiches are more important than Humans: Flying from Athens to Paris through Frankfurt airport. Started on time from Athens, delayed 1 hour on air because of the mildly bad weather over Frankfurt. Arrived 15 minutes before the departure of our next flight (FRA-Paris) instead of 1h15 minutes. Running to find the gate for the next flight, we arrived but the gate was closed for literally 2 minutes (standard excuse: "sorry, it's not our fault"), they were not waiting for us, although they knew our flight was delayed on air. Put us on the next flight (4h after). Did not give any compensation as they should according to their own regulations. Enter the airplane on time but was a 35 minutes extra delay because they were waiting the catering company to bring TWO EXTRA SANDWICHES for the 2 extra passengers (me and my wife). In the previous flight they did not wait for us when they knew for the delay (and it was caused by their own pilot). I made official complaint, they did not answer. I made 2nd complaint, they did not answer. I have proofs of all these. Corollary: In Lufthansa they will wait for a sandwich but not for Passengers.
