Just finished my first experience with the airline, long haul from London into KL, and then short haul from KL into Vietnam. Given it was an A380, there really was no room for excuses. Food was barely digestible- I serve my dog better food than this (purposefully bought dinner in the airport on the way back, before I boarded). Appalling lack of selection of drinks available- apple, orange or tomato juice !; the stewards did their best to hide for most of the flight, and offered a total of 3 drinks during a 15 hour flight. The inflight remote console was unresponsive. The list goes on and on. What was more galling, was the food quality was given a slight improvement for the short haul flight to Vietnam. Coming back, flight was delayed by over 2 hours, with no explanation for the delay until we actually took off. Would not recommend the airline to your worst enemy, let alone someone you care about.
