What a stressful day! I've been looking forward to go to Dublin via Frankfurt for six weeks...only to find out at check in that the next day they strike in Frankfurt and I have to travel by train or bus from Frankfurt to Dublin! First of all, I didn't have a visa (so it would be impossible) and it would take me a few days to cross all the boarders and oceans. Lufthansa didn't even notify me about this situation and I had to find out at check in at OR Tambo, Johannesburg with the worst service from Lufthansa-not helpful at all and said they can do nothing for me! Thus, I didn't fly with Lufthansa to Ireland.
