Etihad Airways review by Christine 2017-04-20

I Had great expectations of Etihad and payed more than I would have had I choose Qantas but a number of friends said it was well worth the difference. The Flights and change overs ran on time which was fabulous, but the aircrafts we were on were old, uncomfortable and extremely noisy. The food was cold and really bad, and I'm not that fussy.. 3 legs of our flight to and from England were on the old clapped out planes. The one highlight was Heathrow to Abu Dhabi on the A380. it was chalk and cheese the difference. We were told that we would be on the 380 all the way back to Melbourne, but no no they changed craft and we ended back on the old substandard aircraft with the in flight entertainment not working , horrible food and really no service. I was extremely disappointed and didn't understand that the one of the longest flight times and we were not on the A380...I would suggest to people planning a holiday not to choose Etihad as even when you pick the flights with A380 they just change them to inferior aircrafts. I would not recommend them at all and I know there will be many more people who I had spoken to on the flights who were very disappointed as well
