Beware of their "cheap flights", they will trap you once you arrive at the airport. My boyfriend and I are taking a 1 hour, that's right ONE HOUR flight from phuket to Bangkok and were just told upon checking in that we have to pay and extra $187 for 2 checked bags. It would've been nice to know that the airline doesn't allow even 1 free bag. To make things worse, even though we booked a round trip we were told that we would still have to pay the same price once we return to phuket!!!! I will NEVER fly with this airline again!!! If thats not enough our flight was just delayed for 3 hours. Way to ruin the perfect holiday air asia!!!! EDITORS COMMENT: The baggage policy is made clear through the booking process. They are a low cost carrier so charge for everything including any luggage.
