Sunwing Airlines review by Jordyn 2017-03-05

I will likely try to avoid flying with Sunwing again if possible. I know they do many of the all-inclusive vacations but Id try Westjet next time. Our flight to Varadero was 3 hours delayed because of a battery that needed to be replaced. They changed our gate number 3 times so I had a bad feeling about it before we even boarded. We boarded quite late and then sat on the tarmac for half an hour at least, finally left the gate only to return to the gate after sitting a while. Then we had to unload everyone including all our belongings and wait in the airport for an hour. Finally, everyone got loaded back on and situated and we took off at the time we were supposed to be in Cuba already. It was my first time flying with Sunwing and my first time to an all-inclusive and since I was only going to be there 5 days I was disappointed about losing half a day because by the time we arrived it was close to 3pm. Obviously these things happen with planes and naturally safety first of course but I overheard many other Sunwing planes having technical issues as well. Overall, I just found the planes to be dated and slightly uncomfortable.
