I had booked myself on an Air India flight from New Delhi to Kolkata on 28th May 2017. After standing for 40 minutes in the queue, I was told that they had over booked and I (along with others) could only be accommodated on a flight next morning. So much for plans, office etc. They said we should have web checked in. Why should I have to web check in on a confirmed ticket to ensure a seat? How can an airlines overbook? The body language of the people at the counter was abominable - they were smirking! After hours of agony, we were put up in a shoddy hotel. There were many such passengers suffering the same fate on that flight. Lesson learnt - never fly Air India again.
