Air China review by Joe 2015-07-26

If its too good to be true, it probably is. We chose Air China just because it was the cheapest flight out from Virginia, USA to Manila, Philippines. First, the flight out of Virginia got delayed for one hour, then in Beijing they told us that our flight to Manila already left, even though there was still one hour left before boarding. Next we were told that there was only one flight out to Manila and that would be the following night, so we have to stay in Beijing for one full day. We were shuffled to a dingy hotel, where the rooms smell like cigarette buts, though the hotel food was fair. The planes that were used in our flights were gloomy and dark, with no in-flight entertainment on the Beijing-Manila flight. Airline food was horrible, bland and inedible. You have to really hear what the food being served is or simply say "beef", "chicken" or "shrimp". In any case, do not use Air China on any of your flight unless mediocre service is good for you.
