I´ve flown with Volaris at least 10 times, mostly on the Tuxtla-DF route. Seems like it works well when it works, but if anything goes wrong you´re on your own in a hostile customer service desert. The most vexing for me was trying to make a group booking recently. The website kept crashing over and over again. Booking over the phone would have cost MX5000 extra so we said no thanks and tried again, for only half the group. That worked, but for the other 4 tickets - constant crashing again. Perhaps it´s because we tried to include an infant on the booking? We´ll never kow because the site doesn´t tell you what´s wrong. That group bought Interjet flights instead, with baby. The website is infuriating and has loads of (unintentional) bugs, plus they try to sneak extra charges at you at every opportunity. You have to really keep your eyes peeled for boxes to uncheck and boxes to check to avoid extra charges. The check-in ques in DF are chaotic and half the monitors don´t work, best print your boarding pass at home. Although there´s no food service on board, they will give you water for free so at least you won´t die of thirst.
