From Bangkok to Gold Coast via Singapore 10/4/15. Myself my wife and baby arrived at Don Muang Airport after a 5 hour car journey(usually 2.5 Hours) 5 mins late for check in to be greeted by staff (Nok Air/ Scoot) who were laughing at people who missed the flight due to bad traffic (Thai New Year) . When I inquired about procedure for missing a flight we were directed to another desk. Upon arriving, they said that because they just represented Scoot there was nothing they could do to help. Then we were directed to the Nok Scoot bookings office. Once there I explained to staff what had happened and immediately informed that there was no other flights for that day or the next without even checking computer. Then after some discussion he checked the itinerary and found a flight to Singapore the next day for 780 USD for 2.5 people. I asked to see the details and immediately realised it would mean we missed our connecting flight to Gold Coast. When I pointed this out the guy just smiled and laughed and told me I would need to buy another ticket. Ended up booking AirAsia. Travelling with an 18 month old is difficult enough without having smug unhelpful staff rubbing your nose in it! :-(
