Flew from Brisbane to London on 3 November 2015 with a four-hour layover at Changi airport. I have always found Singapore staff to be very efficient and functional rather than 'friendly' and this experience was no different. This is not necessarily a bad thing - frankly I prefer a 'direct' approach when getting from A to B. Nonetheless, the flight was comfy and the food and entertainment good for both legs (regionally Cathay Pacific for me have the edge with food). While Singapore can be expensive if you catch one of their quick-fire sales you can secure a great deal. EDITORS COMMENT: couldn't agree with you more - you're exactly right!
