First Class

First class LHR to Kuala Lumpur on the much vaunted 787. Service way below expectations. I could not avail of the massage in their lounge in Terminal 5. Tried to reserve this 3 weeks in advance but this was " fully booked". I was advised to get a walk in slot on the day but the only slot they had was too close to departure time. I only got 15 minutes on a massage chair . Check-in in their dedicated lounge was crowded and boarding chaotic and no sense of feeling like it was first class. Inflight cabin was ok but there was no sense of luxury. Cabin crew ok but not overly friendly and very very slow to anticipate passengers' needs. This despite having 3 cabin crew looking after only 8 first class passengers. Only one toilet and no different from toilets in a low cost carrier. Entertainment on board was diabolical. No Wifi. Food very average. On arrival the stewardess could not be bothered to help when I asked about Fast track. Return trip also very average. The best service was in the first class lounge in KLIA and that was a Malaysia Airlines lounge not BA. Service inferior compared to first class with Air France.
