Auatrian Airlines need to take a good long look at the meaning of customer service. Whilst our flight from Bangkok to Vienna was pleasant (we upgraded to Business) the treatment we recieved trying to return was appaling. WE missed our return flight to Australia from Vienna because all trains into Vienna were cancelled due to the refugee crisis. When we finally got to Vienna late that night we could not get in contact with anyone at the airline as they do not have a 24hr help desk. It took me 3 hours on the phone (mostly on hold) to try and get our flights rebooked and after all that the airline wanted to charge me $5000 in rebooking fees on top of the $3000 we had already paid for the flight. We told them to shove it and booked with Emirates for half the price. Will never use this airline again as they clearly do not care about their customers at all. Disgusting profiteering of the worst kind.
