EVA Air review by Kirby 2015-07-27

9/10 passenger rating?!?!?! I am stunned. The only good thing about my 2 flights with EVA is that we arrived safely if a lot worse for wear. My wife and I both have never experienced seats as uncomfortable as those in EVA economy. We flew from Singapore to Taipei in Economy. We were so miserable that we spent $1500 to upgrade to Business class for our Singapore to Seattle leg. That was not much of an improvement and definitely not worth the added expense. Their business class seats were not as comfortable and only slightly more spacious than KLM or Singapore Air Economy class seats. The food was so horrendous that I would have taken a microwaved frozen dinner or McDonald's over the tasteless slop they served us. We had the Western meal for our first flight and the Asian fare on the second. Both were unacceptable. some of the fruit was edible and the roll and butter as well. In flight entertainment was decent. Cabin attendants were efficient.
