Business Class

I have just returned from KL to Melbourne Australia on an A333 - 300 and chose to fly Malaysian Air Business class, which is not that cheap, so not surprisingly I expected service and good seating. I have flow with MAL frequently as I lived and worked in KL fro 4 years and in the past was most satisfied with the service. However on this flight I was most disappointed. The service was poor at best and was borderline rude. The seating in Business on this plane is atrocious, sitting was just uncomfortable and reclining was even worse. Even though it was a daylight flight the crew were more interested to rushing food service, closing the blinds and hoping all passengers would sleep, I presume, so they had less to do. The food was not particularly good either, a heavy meal straight after take-off (to encourage sleeping??) and the steak which I foolishly had pre-ordered from their on-line menu service was tough and well over done. The 2nd and only other food service was towards the end of the seven and a half hour flight and consisted of a dried out open sandwich from which I only ate the cheese. (by the way, I'm not a fussy eater and eat most things.) The in-flight entertainment was system was good but the choice of movies and TV was poor and not as extensive as I expected. I did manage to find enough to watch but only just. All in all, a severe disappointment and I'll choose another airline next time.
