Economy Class

I had been told that traveling in a Singapore Airlines flight is an experience in itself, but I'm sorry to say that it was not the case for me. I've definitely had better flight experiences. Below are the reasons why I wouldn't recommend Singapore Airlines: 1. As soon as I entered the flight, there was a foul smell of urine, probably emanating from the lavatory at the front of the business class section. I thought the smell would disappear once I was inside, but I was wrong. The air spray came on only after everyone had settled in and the plane was taxiing down the runway. 2. The food is OK. Regular stuff. Nothing exotic or out-of-the-box. I don't know why a menu is offered when the actual meal given is pretty different from what's offered on the menu. 3. I was seated in the middle seat on the center aisle. The steward completely skipped asking me what beverage I wanted. I could have asked for it myself, but that's not hospitality. 4. In a 4 & half hour flight, you don't get to sleep even a wink because of the in-flight meal trauma. The stewards take more than hour just to serve and clear the trays. Even if you opt not to eat during your flight, you still anyway get disturbed.
