Flew with Delta last week, I had work the next day and my girlfriend and I missed our connecting flight because of a weather delay. We understood that it was out of their control but hoped that they would make a reasonable effort to get us on the next flight. They did not. They made us choose between a flight 24 hours later or entering a lottery for a flight 12 hours later. They refused to transfer us to a different airline or even give us hotel vouchers as we'd be staying overnight. I eventually had to look up their Contract of Carriage and literally walk the representative through it line by line to show that he was required to refund our money so we could go transfer ourselves manually to another airline. It was ridiculous and I strongly suspect he was just stalling with the hope the other airline would sell out. I will never fly Delta again and am strongly advising everyone I know to not use them anymore. I would have a completely different review if they'd at least made the smallest effort to get us home on time, or at least give us a cheap hotel voucher instead of forcing us to spend 24 hours slumped in airport chairs.
