I travelled a lot with this company (more than ten years, once a month, every months) From 2009, I really felt they were trying to cut the expenses.. In 2013, I definitely stopped to travel with them, since my family and I had the worst journey ever with them. I just can assure you that Cathay is OK as long as nothing unexpected is happening. ( Wrong ticket sold, no blankets in freezing cold cabin, lost luggage, poor choice (or no choice of food) false informations,etc..) They cannot handle it, and never even replied to my emails. The Marco Polo Club is useless in this case. Since then, I'm travelling with Chinese companies ( in business class), and found with them a much better service for a lower price. Will never travel with Cathay anymore.
