Delta has the rudest, most condescending staff I have ever encountered. From the lack of signage and direction inside the terminal to the apathy and ambivalence of the supervisor and all staff members, I will happily travel on any other airline before driving or walking to my destination to avoid Delta. We arrived 3 minutes late to check our bag due to misdirection and watched the available representative sit behind her counter and take a drink. When we helped, the clerk told us not only could she not check out bag but that it could not be sent on a later flight. We booked in advance, upgraded our seats and were treated with contempt and indifference. I will always be grateful to the supervisor, John, at LAX for showing me what Delta's true core values are. Disregard to customers, lack of service and a utter lack of professionalism. Every passenger deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, and there are plenty of airlines that will accommodate my needs without sacrificing basic customer service.
