Jetstar review by Tai 2016-09-26

I frequently travel with Jetstar on melb-syd-melb flights as its cheaper than other airlines (refuse to travel tigerair) and have a somewhat pleasant experience each time. I always only take carry on so check in is fast with the machines at the airport. I generally arrive always over an hour before departure so I'm often waiting for gate to open. I'm not a tiny person and some flights are rather comfortable with plenty of leg room (I am 6ft tall)..other times I am cringing with my legs to the side or stuck digging into someones back. Really depends on the plane at the time. Some are large and have space, others not so much. Never had issues with staff. Never had delays or cancellations. Sometimes a slight delay of max 20 mins. Overall, I would highly recommend Jetstar if you are flight short distance flights (less than 3-4 hours) and take carry on only. I can't imagine checked luggage being too much of an issue. It's affordable, does the job. I don't expect comfort and little luxuries. I eat before or after my flight. If I was flying long distance, I would definitely pay more for comfort, efficiency, flexibility and reliability.
