Air China review by Amazing 2016-11-22

Jfk to PEKon brand new 747-8 in business class. The plane is beautiful. Seat is ok but curves to the right making it hard to stretch out. The worst part about the 14 hour flight was our location on the upper deck. We were in the fire exit rows mid cabin. There is a flat shelf in front of this row (84) the the FA use to gather dirty dishes. For 14 hours there was a constant clanking noise as dishes, tea cups, and silver wear were piled here. It was like trying to sleep next to a roommate emptying the dishwasher for 14 hours. The cabin was kept at 25 degrees Celsius (76 F) which was way too hot. No one could sleep. Movies are very limited and wine service is also hard to come by. Made for a long and painful flight experience. At 80,000 miles it was the cheapest option nyc to Australia. But not a great experience. The second leg from PEK to MEL was much much better on a A330 with a more attentive and friendlier cabin crew. EDITORS COMMENT: Great feedback, thanks for sharing.
