I am sorry to say that today I had the worst experience with an Airline Company of my life and it was with Air France. My boyfriend and me had to come back urgently home from holidays for a funeral and our insurance Company booked a flight from Ha Noi to Amsterdam with a transfer in Paris of 8hrs since they were not able to see previous availability and they had 1 hr to organize everything. They told us to go to the service desk once in Paris and ask for a earlier connection and we did. I have to admit that the Customer service works perfectly but the Customer Care is zero...the woman at the desk was really prepared and was sorry to inform us that for Company policy we had to pay 600euro/person for the change..economy per economy!!! This is crazy and unfair...600 euro for the flight from Paris to Amsterdam because she had to change the fee class from Ha Noi!! This is absurd!! Now we are in Paris waiting when we would be only with our family! Thanks Air France. EDITORS COMMENT: As awful as it is what has happened to you would happen on any airline if your ticket was a non refundable, no change or fare or date ticket. The cheaper the ticket the less flexible it is which means when you need to make a change you get charged the difference in fare plus a change fee.
