Qatar Airways review by Dave 2015-06-13

Perth - Doha - Manchester - Doha - Perth, Business class. Second time flying with Qatar from Perth to UK and return. Qatar use the Qantas lounge in Perth and its ok, but not a patch on the Emirates lounge. On board, it was lovely. Nice plane, seating, service and food. The new airport in Doha is really nice, the lounge is massive and very clean. Signage was poor but the showers (through the restaurant, out of the fire exit) were deserted! Ask someone to point you to them its worth it. Oldest plane in the fleet on the Doha Manchester leg. It had a really bad smell and was just terrible (no usb power and the IFE was V poor). Leaving Manchester to Doha, the Escape lounge is what Qatar use as they dont have their own. Yeah I wanted to escape. Dreadful! Qatar, revisit this decision, its awful. I could go on, but google it and you will find out what others think too. Nice again on board and transfer through Doha. All in all ok, but not really in the same league as Emirates on this route. Sorry,the flights when you are on board are lovely but lounges, transfers, and overall experience let Qatar down.
