Aircraft type: A320 I have traveled by Indigo earlier and I had a very high opinion about the airline. But this trip changed everything. We traveled between Chandigarh-Mumbai and Mumbai-Bangalore with international connections. Indigo allows 15kg as check in baggage and 7 kg as cabin baggage. Other airlines weigh and if in excess, try and help the passengers to compensate and distribute the weight so that they pay minimum or the excess baggage cost is nullified. The staff at both Chandigarh and Mumbai made us weigh all the bags and charged extra flat for the extra kilos. Since we were on an international transit, we were allowed 30+7kg on other airlines. The Indigo staff refused to consider or shuffle baggage to reduce the payment, and pretended to do us a favour by waiving 2kg between Chandigarh-Mumbai and 1kg between Mumbai-Bangalore. The irony was that the flight was only 2/3 full with lots of empty seats. In such a situation, other airlines consider international travelers and allow the extra baggage. Shocked and sad to see such indifference on India's "best" performing airline. My advice is - do not book on Indigo for domestic flights if you are travelling from abroad.
