I've flown Cathay Pacific PER-HKG return once a year for the past 4 years (2012-15) rate them 7/10; good but not outstanding. Compared to Emirates and Singapore Airlines I guess my expectations are quite high. The economy legroom in the CX Airbus A330 was fine for my 6'1" frame, but the seat comfort depended on the age of the aircraft. Their A330 age range that I've flown on ranged from 13 to 2 years old, so there was a significant difference in comfort for the 7+ hour flight, according to my rear end anyway. The entertainment system was okay - though I rarely found a movie of interest to me. The music choice is pretty good so I tended to listen to music and half doze, or watch what other people are watching. (It's amazing how much of a movie you can still pick up without the sound!) One thing sorely missed that EK and SQ provide were the warm towels and the eye shades for o/night flights - I now know to always bring my own eye shades. After SQ's and EK's food offerings Cathay's do lack a bit but are def okay. The special meal that my wife pre-orders has always been provided with no problems. Cabin crew service has always been very good, So 7/10 for me.
