Overall Delta is my go to carrier of the US legacy airlines (United, American, etc). Usually friendly, but they have good days and bad days like anyone else. I fly BOS-AMS each year and the flight crew is dependably professional and helpful. Flew VCE-JFK with a NYC based crew last week and they were cold, unhelpful. I was traveling with a broken foot and had crutches to store. You would have thought I asked the flight attendant to watch my kid the entire flight when I asked her to help find a place for them. THankfully the purser stepped in. I find their apps and technology better than other carriers. On a flight last month I received a text that my bags had made an early flight and I was to proceed to the baggage claim office to retrieve. Much appreciated so I didn't have to wait at the luggage carousel wondering where they were (which I've done with other airlines). When traveling for a death in the family last month their reservations agents were beyond helpful getting together complex booking for a large family. Gate agents generally good. Though Boston ticket counter/bag check agents are consistently mediocre.
