Flewn with Air Asia from Hong Kong to Kota Kinabalu and from KK to Sandakan this week. While we had no problems on the first flight, things got bad on the second and even worse on the return trip from Sandakan. At KK airport the lady at the check in tried to charge one of us for 800 grams extra luggage weight, even though he had prepaid two bags but would only check in one. When we where to return from Sandakan, four bookings out of a total six where forced to pay 150RM to bring the luggage back to KK because even though we'd booked a two way trip, the luggage however was booked on a one way. So beware when booking because we presumed that by paying the luggage fee we could expect to return with it as well (and nothing on the booking website suggested otherwise) but that was obviously not the case. So when we found out about that we immediately went online to check our booking back to Hong Kong and sure as sunshine, no luggage booked for the return flight either. So we went online immidiately to add it, a venture that took us nearly an hour and pumped the ticket prices another 500 HKD on the 3hr flight. Almost get the impression that the website is deliberately faulty.
