Philippine Airlines review by Stephen 2015-07-06

I made my booking with PAL very reluctantly having read some very critical reviews on this site but it was by far the cheapest option and offered a direct flight from Heathrow to Manila. I have to say that I was wonderfully surprised by my experience. The staff were great, the food was actually quite delicious,(the fish marinara was one of the tastiest in-flight meals I have ever had) the drinks were free and plentiful and the planes were modern airbuses. Moreover my flight to Manila arrived almost an hour earlier than scheduled. My one criticism was that the plane was freezing cold on the return flight. Blankets were provided but I ended up catching a cold that I do attribute to the cabin temperature.
