Ryan air is the worst airline EVER!! I fly all the time with a variety of different carriers. I fly around Australia, Europe and Asia and have never dealt with a more difficult and more deliberately deceitful airline. I have flown with full price carriers and other budget airlines so the concept of how the two differ is not foreign to me. I understand that there are regulations for everything but the way that Ryanair enforces their regulations is simply outrageous. Also the fact that their regulations are different to that of every other airline is also ridiculous. I mean, we have all purchased 'standard' sized carry on baggage....... Right? But ryanair's carryon baggage size is smaller. The checked baggage allowance is ridiculous (as is the amount you have to pay for it) and the excess baggage 'fine' (for lack of a better word) is simply excessive. I really feel that they 'bait and trap' their 'customers'. They sucker you in with the promise of a cheaper flight, then there is the add ons. Checked baggage, seat allocation, print your boarding pass. Then comes the 'fines'. By the time you've paid everything it costs you more than flying with a premium carrier. There needs to be transparency in the way all airlines manage this part of the process and it needs to have done uniformity across the board. Actually, it mostly does - just Ryanair that has it's own regulations, different from everybody else's. It's one thing to enforce the rules and regulations stringently, but it's another thing when thise rules are different from everybody else's, and it's another thing altogether when the 'fine' is ridiculously excessive in comparison to the 'standard' in this area. I feel their whole business model is based around people not conforming and the money they make from the 'fines'. I am not the only person that has issues with Ryanair, everyone checking in to my flight seemed to have some problem with them, but I can say with absolute certainty I will NEVER fly Ryanair again. Ps. These issues are all compounded by the callousness of the staff. The answer to every question and request is simply "no, you'll have to pay for that!"
