Spirit Airlines review by Lisa 2016-03-29

A $1,000 mistake. My family and I will never use Spirit Airlines ever again. They don't accommodate and have ridiculous rules and policies that don't comply to real life situations. We had a family member pass away very unexpectedly and had to book flights as soon as possible, well we do so amounting to $1,000 for tickets, baggage and seats (yes they charge you for each individual thing). Come morning for the flight and we missed it because we would have to drive almost 3 hours to even get to an airport that flies spirit. Then we call to see if we can get another flight for later that day as we had seen one when we were booking our flight. They would not and could not find a flight for us for the next 3 days, we would've missed the funeral and everything. So we settle for getting our money back, which they took $71 out of for "spoilage fees" and gave us a credit for only spirit to use on future flights with only them, the to cap it off you only have 60 days to use it and only the people that were originally on the flight can use it.
