Palma Mallorca to London Heathrow This has got to be the worst airline I have ever (attempted) to fly with. I have flown to many places with many airlines over the years and this is the only instance in which I have missed a flight. I arrived at Palma airport at the ungodly hour of 4am only to see that there were no details about this supposed flight on any of the departure boards, nor were there any check-in desks displaying any sign of this flight. I took my itinerary to an information desk and the man behind it had no idea about it either, until his colleague told me to head to the "miscellaneous" check-in desk in the corner of the low-costs and told me that was where I needed to check-in. So I managed to check in fine, received my boarding pass which didn't tell me a gate number or even a zone allocation to head to to find my gate. I got myself through security and with another 90 minutes to spare there was still no sign of the Heathrow service on any of the departure boards in the airport. I walked the massive airport up and down and there was no sign of it absolutely anywhere, and then another information assistant pointed me to zone A. By the time I got there I knew I would be running behind time and that I'd need to hurry to get into the gate before it closed. Zone A was a very small departure area and after checking all 20 of the departures leaving this area I knew this was not the right place. I asked another information assistant where I needed to go and he told me it was leaving from this zone but it was not on the departure board anywhere and so we were both very confused. From here onwards I frantically searched the airport trying to find anything with Vueling on it and there was nothing anywhere. Before I knew it the time had passed the departure time so I had to go back out of the departure area and find my way to the Vueling desk to try and get myself home. I explained the situation I had just experienced and even these staff members were unable to tell me which gate the supposed flight had left from! They were extremely rude and patronising and even though I had booked a fully flexible ticket they refused to give me any sort of reimbursement or get me on to another flight without a ridiculous fee. I then had to book with another airline that flew to Gatwick and get a transfer to Heathrow in time to make my flight back to Australia. I can honestly say I will never ever fly with Vueling again and I am still to this day very suspicious and wary of the airline and whether or not they even fly from Palma to Heathrow!
